7 Tips for Sparkling Bright Eyes
Your eyes are the windows to your soul, so it’s important that you have sparkling eyes instead of puffy, tired-looking eyes. But beyond getting the right amount of sleep each night, how do you get bright eyes? We’ve got a few home remedies as well as a few golden rules to follow.
-
Prep Your Skin: Every morning and every night, use a little bit of anti-aging eye cream or serum around your eyes. Many formulas will help get rid of crows feet, dark circles, and dryness, for brighter eyes.
-
Use Cucumber: If you have dark circles under your eyes, before you head into the office, take a few slices of ice-cold cucumber and lay them on your eyes. Relax and close your eyes for ten minutes. Then, start your day.
-
Green Tea: First, make yourself a double cup of green tea for breakfast and save the tea bags by placing them in the freezer to chill. Then, apply a light coating of olive oil to your eyes before placing the chilled tea bags over the oil. Leave them on for ten minutes before washing.
-
Use Sunscreen: Make sure that as you apply your daily SPF moisturizer to your face, you pay extra attention to your eyes. Just be sure to use a mineral sunscreen so it won’t burn when you sweat.
-
Sleep on Your Back: If you keep waking up with puffy eyes, it might be time to change how you sleep. If you sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated on a pillow, it can keep fluid from pooling around your eyes.
-
Exercise: We’re not talking about running, exercise your eyes. Each night, before bed, take a pen and move it horizontally and vertically in front of your eyes. Focus on the tip of the pen.
- Get Hydrated: If you spend all day staring at a computer, you need to make sure your eyes stay hydrated. Make sure you blink often throughout the day to keep your eyes from drying out and take a break from the computer screen after every hour of work.
