Traditionally my ingredients have been used to assist with:
Gou Qi Zi (Chinese Red Tea), Zhi Gan Cao (Liquorice root), Mo Li Hua (Jasmine flower), Lu Hui (Aloe Vera), Lotus Seed Heart (Lian Zi Xin).
Dr. Nat Kringoudis TCM explains how Skin Magic Tea works within the body;
"The prime ingredient in Skin Magic Tea is Aloe Vera. Aloe is a common house hold name known for its cleansing and clearing abilities. It helps to nourish and rejuvenate the skin, meaning not only does it go to work on feeding your skin but equally to hydrate, clear heat (think cystic, sore pimples) and drain away any inflammation. It achieves all this through its unique ability to drain heat via urination. Liquorice root and lotus seed hearts are also two powerful players in Skin Magic Tea.
Liquorice root is known to be harmonising and nourishing. Because it is sweet in flavour, it works on digestion (and that’s where it all begins). It also aids the spleen and stomach in assimilating nutrients. Sometimes when our gut health is compromised we can’t adequately utilise the nutrients we consume, because our bodies can’t easily digest it. If we can’t use the fuel from food, then our bodies miss out on a important nutrients, which means that we may experience more acne flare ups simply because the body is missing elements that are vital to nourish skin. "
It is safe to consume Skin Magic Tea whilst pregnant and breastfeeding, however we don't always recommend this, purely because we believe in leaving health in the hands of nature at this special point in time. F
or the young or elderly or those recovering from severe illness, whilst it isn't contraindicated, it's important to consult your healthcare professional before cleansing. If you're under the age of 15 we recommend seeking parental permission.
Skin Magic Tea is designed to be consumed consecutively over 30 days (2 x a day). Brew for 5-7 minutes at a time. Drink 30 minutes before or after meals.
We always recommend listening to how your body feels whilst on the tea.
