Carla believes in the importance of restoring balance, nurturing all aspects of health. She works with patients to help make lifestyle and dietary adjustments to complement her Chinese Medicine treatment to get them the best results. Carla believes education as being key, so that her patients can take their health into their own hands. Her philosophy is treating holistically to treat the mental, emotional and the physical and to connect the mind, the body and the spirit.
She is very passionate about integrative medicine, with a special interest in women’s health and family planning, and has an interest in supporting digestive issues + gut health and and emotional disorders like stress, anxiety and depression. She is best known for her knowledge in supporting natural fertility, hormone balancing (PCOS, Endometriosis, fibroids,) and she loves working with pregnancy and IVF support. Being able to share the journey of pregnancy to motherhood is such an honour. Carla is such a strong advocate for postnatal care and truly believes all new mothers need to be supported, which is why she co-found 'The Golden Month' ; traditional in-home postnatal care.
Outside of work, she loves the water and enjoys surfing, yoga and whole-foods. Carla loves to travel - internationally + locally, as well as seeing live music and spending time with her family, friends and rescue dog Gypsy. She has recently become a mother to her little daughter, Farrah. Being a mother has brought about a whole new aspect to her practice.
Carla is registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency), CMBA (Chinese Medicine Board of Australia) and a is an active member of AACMA (Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association). She is a qualified 5 Element Acupuncturist and Cosmetic Acupuncturist + Facial Rejuvenation Practitioner. She has also gone on to do further study in Women’s Health with a focus on Fertility and Pregnancy and IVF Support.
